“Dearest Ones,
We love you and are always with you. When you begin to love yourself, bathing your body and emotions with loving attention you can then shift into a reality of possibilities. The world of energy and spirit is not linear. It is an open door into a more expanded world. You do not need to walk the line of healing step by step. It is possible to gently shift from the discomforts of shame, fear or guilt into one of peace, love and lightness with just a few moments of your attention. Attention is an action of energy and spirit that is the steering wheel of your soul. The power of your attention is always at hand.
Try this exercise:
1) Notice where your attention is. It may be in one place or many.
2)Then gather your attention into your heart center at the top of your chest. Breathe into this area.
3)Ask yourself these questions:
“Can I allow love to be with me?”
“Can I invite even more expansion into myself?”
“Can I accept what is in this moment?’
Allow yourself to begin to find the pathways into more expansion of love into your life. Invite it into your body, mind and emotions and your spirit will shine.

This beautifully simple exercise is based on the power of our attention and choice. In each moment we have the authority to choose where to put our attention. Do we focus on our complaints in life are or do we focus on what we appreciate? It’s important to look at what doesn’t work so we can change it when possible. But how we approach change, the process that we move through to get there and the satisfaction we feel with the outcome is affected by the quality of attention we give it. When we approach ourselves with attention that is expansive and loving we can see more possibilities than if we are stuck in a contractive or negative state. We can choose to embrace the parts of us that may feel afraid or discouraged in the container of our loving attention. In this way we can be inclusive of all aspects of ourselves and still be able to shift from being stuck to the world of possibilities. This simple exercise of bringing attention to your heart and gently opening to acceptance in the moment can make the difference between a day of frustration and discouragement to one of hope and compassion.
