Q: I feel like I have a lot to accomplish in this life but that I haven’t done anything worthy of success. I want to develop my talents, help others succeed and do good in the world. How do I get on that path?
J.J Colorado
A: Dearest JJ,
This journey begins with honoring exactly where you are. Being with any discontent or sense of failure, moving deeply into it and through it with your attention, will open the access door to your passions. These feelings are the fuel for your motivation and can lead you to what is most important for you to express. Rather than residing in the feelings/experience themselves, and the stucknesss they can bring, allow your experience to be fuel for your inner fire. They are your gift and potential for break through which are important lessons in how to help others. Gather your dissatisfaction, honoring the gift of its presence, and use it to propel you forward.

Q: Are the things we love to do in life always our life’s work or mission? I imagine that sometimes our most significant work occurs in the inner planes. If I follow my heart, am also following my life’s path?
J.M. Washington
A: Dearest J.M,
You are a divine being of love and your heart gives personal expression to that. What you love to do can give form to how you express your divine nature but it is not limited to this. Often it also includes stretching the boundaries of where you have not learned to love self or other yet. All of this is in a context larger than self, yet self as a person will seek channels of expression that are in alignment with personal talents and passions. These are important guides to purpose. What you feel strongly about, as the deepest and most important message and experience you want to have yourself and offer to others, leads you to many possible forms of expression personal to you. Within this there are both the challenges you carry in moving love through your personal limitations and your full capacity to love who you are and what you do.

Pati’s notes: The expression of our diving nature, our purpose, includes both what we love and what we are challenged by. First, our work is on the inner planes, then that is expressed outwardly by the energy field we transmit and the actions we take, which returns to our inner self. This cycle of inward and outward work together like the in breath and out breath, both are important.
